There are a number of folders containing digital files provided with this report: 1) Geotiffs - gridded geochemical images in GCS NAD83 2) GIS - data shp files for various geographical projections 3) KMZ - google earth .kmz export files of RGB pathfinder images 4) PDF - pdf images of the 4 additive pathfinder image maps 5) Results from catchment-bedrock geology SQL query giving the bedrock geology for each catchment - CatchmentBasins_wDetailedGeology 6) Merged Data file - GBC_Report_2011_5_QUEST_South_Geochemistry.xlsx - all locations except those marked "orig" are the adjusted sample locations 1) Geotiffs: There are 6 types of geotiff file Raw - gridded images of various elements. No transformations, grids are a direct representation of geochemical data. Levelled - Z score (log 10) levelling of raw data by simplified Rock Type and by laboratory (data source) Residual - from robust regression (log 10) against either Mn or Fe. Residual levelled - Z score levelling of residual data by simplified Rock Type Quest_South PCR - multi-element combinations based on principle component analyses. See report for detailed element groupings deposit_style - common deposit types in BC, displayed by combining common pathfinder elements for each deposit (Orogenic gold, epithermal gold, base metals, and porphyry) 2) GIS: There are 5 shp files (with associated .prj, .shx, .sbn etc.) generated in ArcGIS "9312_ICP_wAuINA_wSimplRockType_NAD83" - all samples, projected using lat/longs, in NAD83 "9312_ICP_wAuINA_wSimplRockType_Albers" - all samples, projected using Albers_X and Albers_Y, in BC Geographic Albers (the BC Geological Survey standard projection) "5022_ICP_wAuINA_wSimplRockType_UTM_Z10" - all samples from UTM zone 10 (5022 in total), projected using UTME and UTMN, in NAD83_UTM_Zn10N "4290_ICP_wAuINA_wSimplRockType_UTM_Z11" - all samples from UTM zone 11 (4290 in total), projected using UTME and UTMN, in NAD83_UTM_Zn11N "9312_Catchment_Basins.shp" - all catchment basins derived in this study 3) KMZ: 4 google earth .kmz export files. RGB coloured dot plots in NAD83 lat/long for the 4 deposit styles (orogenic, epithermal, base metals, and porphyry) 4) Merged data file GBC_Report_2011_5_QUEST_South_Geochemistry.xlsx (2 worksheets: 'all samples' and 'geochem_columns') 9321 total samples = 785 Quest South samples + 8536 RGS samples - 9 samples with undefinable catchment basins 280 samples were unavailable by ICP. The Au data for these samples is provided as INAA data. Some samples were analyzed twice (Au_INA_1 and _2). The third column is the average of the first 2. We recommend using the averaged INAA data for the most reliable estimate of Au. SimplRockType = Dominant Rock Type (obtained from regional BC Geological Survey compilation geology map) for each catchment area (determined by %Area) simplified to remove groupings <10 for statistical usefulness. 5) The complete bedrock geology obtained for each catchment is included in this file, and could be used to determine the weighted background geochemistry for the catchments. 6) Final Report - Enjoy! Good luck with your exploration programs! Please direct any questions about the above files to britt.bluemel@ioglobal.net
